The male protagonist is sexually aroused, and eventually they do make love, but not graphically, just implied. The main characters think about kissing each other. But their thoughts are boring because they mostly think about how much they hate-but-want-to-kiss each other and how bleak their chances are of being rescued.Ĭontent Advisory: This is a sci-fi romance novel. ![]() Lilac and Tarver alternate 1 st-person POV chapters, which I appreciated. You have to sit through nearly 200 pages of two teens trekking through the wilderness before we get into some deep, heart-wrenching, suspenseful, mind-bending material. However, the book was just so slow moving. This book sounded interesting to me because I also happen to love the movie Titanic. I don’t read that much ya and middle grade sci-fi because I find most of the plots overused and dull. Thoughts: You should know this about me: I LOVE science fiction. They must also battle clashing feelings of love and hate for each other, as well as mysterious forces invading their minds. Together, they must fight to survive in their new surroundings and find a way to be rescued. Summary: Eighteen-year-old soldier Tarver Merendsen and sixteen-year-old heiress Lilac LaRoux survive a starship crash on an alien planet. ![]()
